I was stationed there once

Postby BillyRiley » Fri Aug 29, 2008 11:20 am

Just found this little website and just wanted to pass my "hello"'s onto everyone.

I was stationed at Azimghur Barracks as a Junior Leader (boy soldier) in September 1983 until lat 1984.

Loved my time there. I was 16, straight from Glasgow, Scotland and it was a beautiful town...and Bath was a beautiful city.

I remember, with fond memories, Heartbreak (the north end of Bannerdown Rd) and Killer (Doncombe Hill) hills to the west and north of the camp (I think). Marching to Ford through Slaughterford...driving training through Colerne, Chippenhem, Box, Corsham.

Lovely memories.

My apologies to anyone I offended way back then

A lot has happened in colerne since the time of the junior leaders.

It sounds that you have come along way since then.

Hope you have a prosperous future
