The village has local TerraCycle collection points. This page describes the items that can be recycled there.

Please only TerraCycle items that cannot be recycled at the kerbside or with carrier bags at local supermarkets.

Colerne School

  • Home hygiene packaging, including cleaning wipes packets (but not wipes themselves or laundry items)
  • Flexible cheese wrapping (any brand) and plastic nets for mini cheese packets
  • Personal hygiene and used makeup containers (including makeup wipe packets)
  • Fererro Rocher packaging (including foil, but not brown paper cases)
  • LOL doll packaging and products
  • Baby pouches and caps
  • Crisps, nuts, pretzels and popcorn packets and multipacks of these (not snack bars or fruit snacks)
  • Biscuits, crackers and cake wrappers
  • Individual and blocks of chocolates wrappers, sweet and chocolate pouches, multipacks of sweets or chocs
  • Tassimo pods or pouches and Kenco lids
  • Pens, markers and correctional fluid (no glue sticks, rulers, rubbers or scissors)
  • Toothpaste tubes and caps (not pumps), plastic toothbrushes and outer packaging, floss container or packaging (not the floss), heads only from electric or battery powered toothbrushes

Did you know?

Many items can now be recycled at points outside supermarkets. Please check packaging for labels such as “Don’t recycle at kerbside”, ‘Don’t recycle at home”, “Recycle with bags at larger stores” or “Recycle at store”.  Sainsbury’s and Morrisons have such collection bins outside of their main entrances, and many products now contain such labels. For example:

  • Bread bags and bread products
  • Certain brands of plastic wrap holding multipack cans/tins together, eg Coca Cola, Heinz baked beans
  • Aldi 100% biodegradable plastic free baby wipes with 100% recyclable packaging
  • Fruit/veg bags from various stores
  • Various brand toilet/kitchen roll packets
  • Various brands of frozen fish packaging
